What were your first months at the company like? What was the most memorable?
The first few months are probably not only the most challenging, but also the most exciting and memorable. It’s the best time, and the feeling is truly special when you are a completely new person in a large group of companies. Every day you learn something new, get to know new processes, responsibilities, and colleagues, and each time you go to work you feel a pleasant sense of anticipation inside. 😊
Which period was your biggest professional challenge and what did it teach you?
I won’t lie. The first six months were not easy. While I was already familiar with the work code, the company’s systems, and HR documentation, I had never worked with employee recruitment and selection processes before. I’m glad that a strong recruitment team had already been formed before I joined and together we successfully achieved our goals. Shoutout to Liucija, Natalija, and Donata!
Was there a moment when you thought, “This is why this job is worth it”?
Of course, there are and quite often. 😊 It would be strange if I didn’t think that way. I can’t imagine doing a job that doesn’t make me feel like this. I often think that my position is very rewarding because I personally handle the recruitment of administrative staff and get to choose the colleagues I want to work with. The team and the work atmosphere have a huge impact not only on results but also on personal motivation. Probably the most enjoyable part is being recognized for your efforts and receiving positive feedback.
What advice would you give to new employees?
I always tell new team members: don’t be afraid to be a beginner, because it’s only temporary. A new start is never easy – give yourself time. With this mindset, the beginning always becomes much easier.
What helps you relax and “switch off” after work?
I’ve never really thought about what helps me relax and switch off after work. To be honest, my job isn’t so exhausting that I need to do something extra to disconnect. At work, I feel in my element, so after work I just continue living my life and look forward to the next day. 😊
