Success Story – Greta: “Every day brings new challenges”

Greta’s success story with Baltic Employees. 🌟

Oh yes, I remember it very well. My first day was filled with excitement, curiosity, and the eagerness to get to know my new colleagues and the new work environment. Like most people, I was naturally a little nervous at first, wondering how quickly I’d fit into the team. Looking back now, I can confidently say that all those worries were unnecessary. My colleagues welcomed me warmly, were always willing to help, and answered every question I had. After just a few days, I already felt like I had been part of the team for much longer.

I’d say my daily routine changed completely. As an administrator, I was like a busy bee; you have to be everywhere and involved in everything. Moving into the HR department meant adjusting to a very different type of work. Although it may seem calmer at first glance, it actually requires a great deal of responsibility, planning, and attention to detail. Today, I spend most of my day handling employee documentation, communicating with employees, resolving various situations, and making sure everything is prepared so people can start working abroad smoothly.

Lunch break! (Laughs.) Isn’t that what you meant?

But seriously, it’s difficult to choose just one part. What I enjoy most is that no two days are the same. One moment I’m preparing documents, the next I’m talking to employees or finding solutions to unexpected situations. Every day brings new challenges, which keeps the job interesting and rewarding.

Most people only see the happy employee who has successfully left for their new job. What they don’t see is everything happening behind the scenes: preparing documents, sending emails, coordinating different processes, and, of course, drinking quite a few cups of coffee along the way.

The biggest challenge has been learning how to react quickly to unexpected situations while managing many different tasks at the same time. Things don’t always go according to plan in HR. Sometimes circumstances change within minutes, so you have to adapt quickly and find the best possible solution. Over the past year, I’ve learned that the most important thing is not to panic, to stay calm, look for solutions, and always maintain good communication with people, whether they’re employees or colleagues.

I’d tell them not to worry so much and to be more confident. Starting something new can always feel a little intimidating, but our team is incredibly welcoming, so there’s really nothing to be afraid of. And as for the job itself… everything can be learned. The most important thing is to stay curious, ask questions, and give yourself time to grow.

Thank youGreta, for your openness and for giving us the opportunity to chat.
