Stefana’s success story with Baltic Employees. 🌟
If you could meet yourself on your very first day at Baltic Employees, what advice would you give to the future Senior HR Manager?
The advice I would give myself is to trust yourself and your team. When you have a great team to work with, any issue with support and help can always be resolved.
Throughout your career, you have seen hundreds of people leave to work abroad. Which employee’s story has stayed with you the most, and why?
I believe the employee that left an impression on me, he is a very gentle and understanding person that despite what issues were at his project always remained calm and collected despite the issue. This left me with a lesson that regardless of how hard a situation might be, is to remain calm and collected.
Was there a specific moment when you realized you were ready to take the next step and become a Senior HR Manager?
To be completely honest I did not expect to be taking on this role, however, I believed that my current team needed room to grow and redefine what our work was. It has been an amazing experience to exchange ideas, approaches and changes to the flow of our work that has made it an even stronger team.
Working with people is not only about solving problems but also about building trust. How do you earn someone’s trust during the very first conversation?
The best approach is to put myself in their shoes and their life. Understanding where each person comes from and their personal situation creates a level of understanding and trust, along with being transparent with them.
What was the most difficult decision you had to make during your career at Baltic Employees, and what did it teach you?
It was believing in myself that I could be a leader to my current team. My team has taught me a lot about how it’s not about managing them, but leading and helping find solutions. When there is a great team, everything flows nicely.
What does a successful day at work look like for you—one that makes you go home in the evening thinking, “Today, I truly made a difference”?
When even if we have big requests and high demands, that we were able to find people and still laugh as a team together no matter how hard the day was.
Baltic Employees has helped thousands of people start a new chapter of their lives abroad. How has being part of that journey changed you as a person?
It has taught me that no matter of a person’s background or story, they can be amazing workers and surprise you that no matter where a person comes from, they can be amazing people.
